Love is in the air, and it smells like… BIG CITY! In this summer edition of Shorts Attack, interfilm has tracked down an eclectic collection of urban love stories, fleeting encounters, passionate as well as ludicrous dates and even dangerous sex. Revealing the bizarre mating rituals and philosophies of diverse metropolis and providing an entertaining insight into love and urban desire.
Classics such as “El Columpio” or “Comme un air...” come up against critically acclaimed new darlings including “Medianeras” and star-studded pieces like “Voyage d'affaires” (featuring Melanie Laurent, star of Tarantino’s "Inglourious Basterds"). Ever since March 2002, interfilm Berlin has been presenting “Shorts Attack!” every month at Kino Babylon Berlin:Mitte. “Shorts Attack!” is as diverse and surprising as the short film medium itself, taking in foreign focuses, political, outrageous or seldom-seen films, film school projects, independent productions, fiction, or animation. The driving force behind the Shorts Attack vision is the intention to further establish the presence of short film in the Berlin cinema scene.
