Yiorgos Tsangaris

Yiorgos Tsangaris is a Moscow-born Cypriot and studied Graphic Arts and Animation in the U.K.  He has been involved in many book publications as designer and editor. He has represented Cyprus with his work at international events and he was awarded with the Greek Graphic Arts and Illustration Award EBGE in 2006. Yiorgos founded and is still artistically directing the International countryside Film Festival of Documentary and Animated Films and the Nicosia Documentary Festival - Views of the World.

Jens Becker

Jens Becker, studied film direction at HFF “Konrad Wolf“and was conferred with the “Meisterschüler” title under the tutelage of Wim Wenders at the Akademie der Künste. He has been active as a screenwriter and director for feature films and documentaries since 1992. His diploma film “Grönland” was nominated for the student Oscar in 1991, while “Adamski” received the Advancement Award from both the Max-Ophüls-Festival and the Akademie der Künste in 1994.Becker has been Professor of Dramaturgy at the HFF “Konrad Wolf“since 2004. He is currently researching material for a feature film project funded by the DEFA Stiftung.

Rick Minnich

Rick Minnich moved to Berlin in 1990 after graduating from Columbia University to study film direction at the Film and Television Academy “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam. Prizes for his film “Heaven on Earth“, include the 2001 Babelsberg Medienpreis for best graduate documentary and the FIPA d’Or in Biarritz 2002 as well as various others in the USA and Europe. Minnich’s films have been shown at film festivals and on television the world over. The “Special Jury Award“, he received for “Forgetting Dad“at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam IDFA 2008, was followed by numerous other international awards.
