KUKI Festival Opening Ceremony

Sunday 1 November/ 3pm / Filmtheater am Friedrichshain

Official opening of KUKI, the 2nd International Short Film Festival for Children and Youth Berlin

Welcome!

"A SEAT FOR THE KIDS"

A bunch of local film bizz luminaries already have one (Knut Elstermann, Florian Lukas, Catherine Flemming,Thomas Heinze...), a "SEAT FOR THE KIDS".

Become a cinema chair patron at KUKI, the 2nd International Short Film Festival for Children and Youth Berlin.

KUKI's still young and vulnerable and in need of generous godparents, which is why we've set up the "SEAT FOR THE KIDS" campaign in cooperation with Bewgliche Ziele e.V.

For the cost of 50€, businesses and private individuals can show their support for KUKI's entertaining and informative short film week by becoming cinema seat patrons for the duration of the KUKI Festival.

All proceeds donated by KUKI cinema seat patrons help the festival

  • keep festival entry prices low.
  • establish KUKI as a permanent children's and youth event in Berlin.
  • invite filmmakers from the most diverse of countries to present their work to a young audience and participate in open forums.
  • expand their range of school programmes.

Cinema seat patrons are naturally invited to attend the opening of the festival. Upon request, patrons' names will be listed with other KUKI supporters on the cinema screen at the beginning of every programme.
