KUKI Festival Programme

KUKI brings together films from all over the world in a way rarely seen in Germany or any where else. In a programme predominately aimed at school groups we'll be showing two Foreign Language Programmes in English and Spanish  (for ages 14 +), a Documentary Programme (for ages 10+) and short films addressing the theme of Walls and Borders (for ages 8+). Beyond that the weekend programme includes five Competition Programmes for various age groups (4+, 6+, 10+, 12+ and 14+) and a Music Video Programme (for ages 14+).

Each programme is approx. 60 minutes long. All films will be screened in their original language and when necessary, given a live German voice-over by professional actors. The Youth Competition for ages 14+ and naturally the foreign language programmes will be shown in their original versions without translation. We offer accompanying material for each of the school programmes providing information on individual films, filmmakers and production backgrounds. Dialogue lists for films shown in the foreign language programmes will be made available to teachers and students to work with in class.
