New festival locations

This year our festival has its own Festival-Centre: At Haus 13 in Pfefferberg! It comes complete with a screening hall, pool, restaurant, snack stall and dance floor. Apart from Kino Babylon we're delighted to count Filmtheater am Friedrichshain as a further festival cinema and the Ostfront / Westfront programmes will be shown at Zeughaus-Kino. And: The Eject night has switched locations this year, to the grand old Maxim Gorki Theater. More

The interfilm Academy

The interfilm academy is back for the second year running, hosted by the 25th International Short Film Festival Berlin. With a range of lectures, workshops and panel discussions, interfilm academy offers filmmakers, students and newcomers to the media industry the opportunity to grasp the basics, fill in knowlege gaps and gain profound insights into a variety of contemporary themes related to filmmaking. Find out more

HISTORY REPEAT

Eastern Front / Western Front

Five short film programmes are dedicated to the times surrounding the building of the Wall and it's demise. Beyond that there is the open-air Wall film stroll with A Wall Is A Screen and more. Find out more

Grenzüberschreitungen

In cooperation with the Goethe Institute and the Foundation "Remembrance, Responsibility and Future", the competition premiere will be held on 5 November. Find out more

Eject!

Eject - the Long Night of Odd Films has become a cult event in its own right! For the twelvth time, weird films compete for the audience’s favour in the gorgeously grand surrounds of the Maxim Gorki Theatre. Find out more
