interfilm Berlin commissioned to curate short films for the German Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai

62 German productions shown in five thematic short film programs

From a pool of several hundred outstanding German short film productions interfilm Berlin has carefully composed a collection of five short film programs for the German pavilion at the 2010 Expo. The 62 selected films attest to the diversity and dynamism of the contemporary German short and feature film scenes: they are funny, serious, political, ironic, animated and full of German spirit.

With an anticipated 50,000 visitors to “Balancity” every day, the audience can expect to see an impressive showcase of distinct and brilliant German short filmmaking. In Shanghai from 1 May to 31 October 2010.

STADTBILDER

Forays through Germany: 14 films attest to the various facets of urban reality, between truth and fiction. Where documentary meets vision, art meets performance, architectural features are mirrored in imaginative fancy and metropolitan self-certainty is inflated by a lust for living.
