Born in Minsk, he grew up in and around Berlin from the age of ten. He studied directing at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, focusing on documentary forms. His short film Handbook about the protests in Belarus in August 2020 won the award for Best Short Documentary at International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in 2021 and at the Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg in 2022. Ungewollte Verwandtschaft and Mit einem freundlichen Gruss were screened in the Berlinale Shorts program in 2024 and 2026, respectively, at the Berlin International Film Festival.
