Since the beginning, one of the central functions of art, especially cinema, has been not only to allow us to immerse ourselves in other worlds, but to make the invisible visible in the first place. In the juxtaposition of the familiar with the strange, hidden longings are also revealed. Alas, the encounter and confrontation with the other are not always desired, for they force us to leave behind familiar territory and surrender to the uncertain.
