Focus On: Postcolonialism

PC 03 Short Film Walk with Dekoloniale

Where did the so-called “Berlin Conference” take place and what significance did it have for the European colonisation of the African continent? How does Berlin’s colonial past continue to impact our lives today in the city? In the scope of an urban film walk, we will examine traces of the history of German and European colonialism and racism in Berlin-Mitte and offer participants a glimpse behind the city’s facades and histories.

In co-operation with DEKOLONIALE Erinnerungskultur in der Stadt & experts from Berlin Postkolonial e.V.
Duration: approx. 2 hours

POSTPONED! Due to the current lockdown, we're rescheduling the walk and will hopefully be able to hold the event in December.
