Synopsis:
A woman hangs between chairs. She tries to get up and get things moving – but her chairs are either too comfortable or they don't want to let her go, which messes everything up.

Three Questions for the Director

1. Short Film has a unique way of telling stories and exploring themes. What is it that fascinates you about the short format?

Leonie Minor: A short film is a playground. Experiments are possible and you can let off steam.

2. The program your film is selected for is called “Hier hast du einen Kopf, jetzt kannst du sehen”: What connection do you see between your film and that title?

Leonie Minor: A head is usually needed to be able to see. You can use a film to see something and in my film you can perhaps see something that happens in one head.

3. What film has inspried you most to make films yourself and what part of it do you see in your own work?

Leonie Minor: For this film, "Alice" by Jan Švankmajer was very important as a model. Because there I saw how „real Film“, stopmotion, a very special Sounddesign and several other tricks could create such an impressive atmosphere.
