Synopsis:
9-year-old Kenan is to be circumcised according to Muslim tradition. During the circumcision ceremony in Berlin-Kreuzberg, which his father Ibrahim organizes more for his own father than for Kenan, both are confronted with the question: What does it actually mean to be a man? Kenan's grandfather urges him to shoot a gun in the air. While Ibrahim argues with his father, Kenan runs away. [CW: gun]
