Synopsis:
Hello Dankness satirizes the psychotropic spectacle of American politics from 2016 to 2021 in hundreds of film samples. The film follows a neighborhood through these years in the guise of a suburban stoner musical. Consensus reality dissolves into conspiracies and other contagions. Hotdogs debate the culture wars, dumpsters preach QAnon, zombies gather for revolution and real-life events are recast as Broadway smash hits from Cats, Les Miserables, Annie and The Phantom of the Opera. There is singing and dancing, moments of menace and melancholy, shitposting and deep sincerity. Lenth: 69 min
