Film submission, viewing & research

Internship in our Submissions & Viewing Department

from February 2024 (and in the following months)

For the festivals in November 2024, we are again expecting over 3000 film submissions from all over the world. The submission process is a pretty big deal that requires a lot of organization and logistics until the films are finally viewed and evaluated. For this task, we are looking for several interns for three-month internships from February to August.

Tasks:

•     Film data management in the database
•     Digitisation and archiving of films
•     film research on regional & thematic focal points
•     International communication with filmmakers
•     Film viewing and evaluation in viewing teams

Requirements:

•     enrolled student or in the orientation phase
•     good English, ok German
•     Interest in film, cinema, festivals
•     structured & concentrated way of working
•     ability to work in a team & self-organisation

Information:

• We especially invite BIPoC, people with disabilities, non-binary and otherwise multi-disabled people to apply.  
• Duration: 3 Months
• The internships are part-time with 3 days/week.
• Unfortunately, the internships cannot be paid. Therefore, enrolment as a student (or the orientation phase) is very important. Further collaboration in the preparation and realisation of the festivals is possible.
