Editorial director on a fee basis

We are looking for a motivated editorial manager for the 40th INTERFILM Berlin for the period August to November 2024, who is keen to join a young, dynamic team.

Tasks:

    Writing and editing short texts on individual short films or short film programs

    Writing and editing general texts about the festival

    Close cooperation with our graphic designer

    Coordinating the flow of information within the team

    Editing film stills and graphic elements for print materials

    Working closely with an editorial assistant

    Supervision of interns

Requirements:

    Ability to work independently

    Ability to work in a team and diligence

    Sensitive to cultural diversity and inclusive language use

    Experience in composing and writing cinematic and advertising texts

    Confident handling of graphic programs (Photoshop, GIMP, etc.) an advantage

    Very good knowledge of German required and very good knowledge of English an advantage

The work volume is 3 days a week during the specified period. The work takes place in our office near Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, working from home is possible.
The fee for the entire period is € 2,500 (gross) on account (tax number required).
