Screening and Lecture in remote interaction with Protagonist and Co-writer Abdiwahab Ali.

What are the trials of telling someone else's story, and how do you make this creative process a collaborative one that challenges everyone involved? In this lecture, Douwe Dijkstra will reflect on the making of "Neighbour Abdi", a documentary he made in close collaboration with the protagonist Abdiwahab Ali. A film that is as much about Abdi’s life story as it is about the above questions.
