IC 02 Stirring the Stillness

From the docks of a French-Guinean harbour, where a poetry slammer meticulously crafts new verses, to the streets of Dublin, where a teenager struggles to accept his afro before discovering its hidden power – this program showcases strong characters with all their desires and goals. We experience the self-sacrificing everyday life of a midwife and accompany a brave mother as she starts a new life in Kenya with her whole family. A tent-bound mother and daughter have an anxious talk, while elsewhere a centaur-girl dreams of having human feet.

All films will be shown in their original language with English subtitles.
