DOC 03 Finding Homes

We search for something to call home, perhaps finding it, losing it, finding it again. What makes a place a home? Home can be so many things: a place, a movement, a person. And home can hurt as well. How do we face a horrific past that haunts the place we once called home? And how can home escape our grasp, evade us in the wake of societal developments such as gentrification? Can we return to our lost homeland – with the aid of words, writing our own histories – and if so, what awaits us there?

All films will be shown in their original language with English subtitles.
