EVENT 00 Festival Preview *Free Entry*

On 15 October 2024, we will open the doors of the Roter Salon at the Volksbühne for a special preview of the interfilm short film festival. At our festival preview, our curators will present their personal favourite films of the year. The selected short films offer a first taste of what awaits you at the festival - exciting, touching and surprising cinematic experiences! - Moderation: Andrea Schwemmer

Following the film screenings, our curators will be available for a Q&A. Take the opportunity to find out more about the background to the film programmes, the selection of themes and the creative vision behind the festival. Over a drink, you can take the opportunity to talk to filmmakers, experts and film fans in a relaxed atmosphere.

The interfilm Festival 2024 has a clear focus on body politics and the politics of bodies. Queer, feminist, decolonial and intersectional perspectives take centre stage. Our aim is to celebrate cinema as a living, social place and to understand the festival as a discursive space.

Admission to this event is free - so come along, grab a drink and get in the mood for the festival with us.
