FORUM 01 Workshop: Queer Trash Ecologies: Feeling, Film, and Collective Imagination

In the midst of the crises of our time, we wonder: "What can I do?" Queer Trash Ecologies invites us, first and foremost, to feel – anger, hope, fear, joy – before we act. Between cruising spots, wild urbanites and hidden niches, the films show how people, animals and the urban environment are surprisingly interconnected. Remote places, the moot and the marginalised are rediscovered and boundaries blurred – feelings are the seeds of action – as these works invite viewers to question familiar conceptions of value, space and order, to discover new perspectives in groups – to simply try things out and let things in.
