Berlin has a very good public transport system. You can reach almost any destination by subway (U-Bahn), urban rail (S-Bahn), bus or tram. The ‘Berlin AB’ fares apply in the downtown area. An extensive night bus system takes care of safe transport late at night and replaces the main U-Bahn lines until the morning.
All tickets can be purchased at the ticket vending machines in the subway stations or other stops. For subway and S-Bahn, please make sure to validate your ticket before you enter the train! The validation machines are located on the platforms. On buses and trams you’ll find the validation machines inside the vehicle.

  • Single journey ticket Berlin AB: 2.80 €
  • Short distance ticket (three stops by subway or S-Bahn, six stops by bus or tram): 1.70 €
  • Day ticket Berlin AB: 7.00 €
  • 7-Day ticket Berlin AB: 30.00 €
  • Fall of the Wall 30 Year Anniversary Special Ticket: 30.00€ for 2 adults Berlin AB! From November 4 to 10, 2019 2 adults (& up to 3 children between ages 6-14) can use the special anniversary ticket.

Nextbike provides the ride from cinema to cinema

 

Getting to know Berlin by bike is the best way. To get from one cinema to the next, our mobility partner Nextbike provides free 30 minute rides to the interfilm & KUKI festivals.

Get the voucher code at the guest center and many festival locations. Simply download the nextbike app and register for free*. Enter the voucher code in "account settings - vouchers" and ride 3 x 30 minutes for free through Berlin.

There are Nextbike stations all around the city where you can rent and return the bikes. One is directly in front of the main festival venues, the Babylon Cinema.
