FT 03 "Again" Film and Discussion

The cinematic installation “Again” attempts to gain insight into the events surrounding the fate of Schabas Al-Aziz. In 2016, the young Iraqi – suffering from epilepsy and under the guardianship of an AfD politician – was tied to a tree by four men after a confrontation in a supermarket. He disappeared shortly thereafter and his body was found in a nearby forest months later. Staged in the form of a re-enactment, the film traces the coverage of the occurrences in the media, pursuing questions of civil courage or vigilante justice.

The discussion following the film, featuring director Mario Pfeifer, is a co-operation with the UN refugee agency (UNHCR).
