Whether you’re a freshly minted Friedrichshainer or neighborhood-fixture Köpenicker, it’s always worth taking a cinematic look at the ever-evolving capital. The seemingly bizarre plays out against a backdrop of tourist-hub hubbub and political drama, but upon closer inspection we discover a world of nuance and multiple layers. In the midst of a storm of smaller and larger crises, one finds colorful stories that are sometimes rather reserved in terms of form and content and other times pull out all the stops when it comes to style.
