SP 09 China New Talents

With CHINA NEW TALENTS, INTERFILM aims to draw attention to the work of young filmmakers from the region and share what is being created at film and multimedia academies and universities on the Chinese mainland, as well as in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. In co-operation with producer and director Sido Yao Lu, who is active as a programming consultant for Interfilm, a film program has been assembled from submissions from over 20 universities in 15 cities that traces new paths and relates the challenges facing these fast changing societies.

The first selection of films will be presented during the INTERFILM Festival. A second equally good selection of the candidates nominated from all applications will be shown in a second programme together with the first selection at several Chinese universities and other locations throughout China.
