IC 08 CONFRONTATIONS - Human Rights Films - Women on Fire

Women are at the center of human rights debates. Restrictive governments limit opportunity, freedom, and appearance. “Open” societies project countless expectations upon women and objectification is the order of the day. Comprehensive women’s rights are far from the matter-of-fact issue they should be, but the struggle is being conducted more and more successfully. And when quiet resistance to discrimination and ignorance falls on deaf ears, the situation calls for other tactics.
