While Alejandra ventures on an important road trip through Mexico with her best friend, Darío decides to swap his football boots for dancing shoes. During the Spanish Civil War, Diego and his family live in exile in France and Alica, living in contemporary USA struggles to cope with family, school and work commitments. Meanwhile, against all odds - a chicken advances on the US-American border to defend the rights of the Mexican people. The Spanish-speaking protagonists in this program demonstrate how vital it is to consider and sometimes even fight for one’s needs.
