Three Questions for the Director
1. Short Film has a unique way of telling stories and exploring themes. What is it that fascinates you about the short format?
Héctor Herce: I like the narrative simplicity of the short film. The aesthetics can dominate the message, and that is very very attractive to me. And each scene must tell something concrete and important to the story, go to the point!
2. The program your film is selected for is called "Teenage Riot!": What connection do you see between your film and that title?
Héctor Herce: The characters in my film are nonconformist, dreamy, funny and they live in a world of colors. So the program is perfect.
3. What film has inspried you most to make films yourself and what part of it do you see in your own work?
Héctor Herce: I like iconoclastic and excessive directors. Peter Greenaway, Ken Russell, and Orson Welles. But the biggest inspiration for this short film was Gregg Araki and Hal Hartley.
Producer: Manu Manrique, Diego Saniz
