KUKI .18 Young Short Film Festival Berlin
2 - 9 November 2025

KUKI Juries

At KUKI, children and teenagers have the power to decide which films will be awarded a prize. Each of our three juries is made up of an entire school class. They each watch the two competition programs for their age groups at the cinema during the festival week, discuss all the films and then choose the winning film for their section. At the award ceremony on November 9 at the Filmtheater am Friedrichshain, representatives from the classes will take to the stage, give their speeches, and present the awards. We are already excited to find out which films will win – and would like to thank our juries for taking on this important task!

Jury 1: The Lavender Class at the Blumenviertel Elementary School will select the winning film from the competition programs for ages 4+ and  6+.

Jury 2: The 4th grade class at Spartacus Elementary School decides on the winning film in the competition programs for ages 8+ and 10+.

Jury 3: The advanced art class at Primo Levi High School selects the winning film from the TeenScreen competition programs for ages 12+ and  14+.
