For the 15th time, the joint short film initiative of the FFA and German Films presented the SHORT TIGER AWARD to the best short films for cinema. The award-winning filmmakers each received earmarked prize money of 5,000 euros for new projects and a contract with the short film distributor interfilm Berlin, which will release the films in cinemas.
In April 2025, the award-winning films celebrated their premiere for the fifth time at the Dresden Film Festival as part of the NEXT GENERATION SHORT TIGER program. The jury consisted of Thea Ehre (actress and winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlinale 2023), Alexandra Gramatke (Managing Director of Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg) and Andreas Heidenreich (Board Member of the Bundesverband kommunale Filmarbeit, Kommunales Kino Weiterstadt).
The films can be booked as individual films and can also be shown in short film programs.
