Temperament is what connects these young protagonists from Spain, Argentina and Colombia. It may be love that drives Fabrizio to transform a car into a no-tell motel; conflict that incites Arantxa and her mother to physical violence; pride that motivates Adrián to risk his life at great heights; or jealousy that brings Sara to torpedo her sister’s relationship. However, sometimes cool-headedness wins out because if you don’t have a grip on your temperament, the Garden of Eden can quickly turn to hell on earth.
The work and research group “The Berlinguisten”, led by Xavier Bihan, was formed within the department of Romance Languages at Humboldt-University in Berlin. Their work focuses on applied linguistics, including such areas as translation and language pedagogy. The project focused on intralinguistic subtitling of French short films for the interfilm short film festival was established in conjunction with Mr. Bihan’s Bachelor course in “Film Translation and Subtitling”.
