Once a year, the whole (film) world turns its gaze towards Cannes. Every year in May, the resort town plays host to the Festival de Cannes, one of the most important film festivals ever. However, while the feature films from the competition sections manage to make their way to theatres soon after the event, most of the many brilliant short films of the “sélection officielle” are left to languish on the fringes. That is, until now! Yes, for the first time interfilm is presenting a selection of the best short films from the 2019 edition of Festival de Cannes and bringing them to theatres in Germany, France and around the world.
