Animated films with animals as main characters are popular in every age group. Not infrequently, however, they are caught between exaggerated humanization of the animal world and simplification of the human image. A complex reality is reduced to a narrative of instincts, in order to serve or spread simple ideologies. An infantile view of the animal kingdom and complex social relationships are the consequences.
