The film tells the story of the breweries in Prenzlauer Berg - of their rapid rise, of fierce competition, of beer enjoyment for the whole family, of huge beer gardens for thousands of people and of a trade that from the very beginning meant great power and dramatic entanglement with it. The brewery areas that still exist are used in very different ways today and are thus also exemplary for the development of the city.
