Our doors are now open to receiving the poetic, playful, personal, humorous and challenging films that our festival thrives on and which we present to Berlin audiences with dedication and enthusiasm each November. Films of all forms, genres and formats can be submitted to us via shortfilmdepot.com until 29 May. The 40th edition of INTERFILM and the 17th edition of KUKI - which focusses on children's and youth worlds - strive to be warm, fun and welcoming spaces of creative reflection on current political and social discourses and dynamics.

Positive, authentic representation, empowerment and self-determination are at the heart of the programs, and we particularly encourage queer and BIPoC filmmakers, filmmakers with disabilities and people with other experiences of marginalisation to submit their work. We encourage filmmakers to mention this in their biography.

interfilm as an institution as well as in its curatorial approach rejects all forms of racism, sexism, misogyny, queerphobia, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, ableism, classism and other discriminatory ideologies, attitudes and practices.
