Synopsis:
The inscription on a grave-stone in a London cemetary reads "on the 12th of December 1786 Elizabeth Pickett died after her dress caught fire the preceeding evening". A modern-day woman with flame red hair is haunted by the image of the dress, or 'habit', that caught fire. In collaboration with poet Michael Donaghy.
