Synopsis:
Almost all GDR school pupils from year 1 to 7 belonged to the pioneer organisation “Ernst Thälmann”. They wore a blue neckerchief. As from 1973, the Thälmann pioneers (classes 4 to 7) were given a red neckerchief.
