SP 05 Calling Cards - From Bottle Rocket to Whiplash


Can the short film, as independent film format, also function as a springboard to full-length film? For these filmmakers, the short film was the cinematic “calling card” that enabled them to develop the same material into a feature film. Surprising is the diversity of form, content and genre for which this progression is rewarding. No matter what path a director takes: the short film constitutes a first step.
