DOC 01 Get Away

When refugees are reduced to little more than statistics and the most crucial topics of our time blur into one big, gray blob, it is documentaries that shake us from our slumber and remind us that behind the images and numbers, real individuals are living real-life stories. These films can make us laugh and make us cry, but most importantly they give us insights through the cracks between war and hope, prejudice and common humanity that are all too frequently dimmed by the merging shadows of daily life.
