IC 01 Animated 1- Squaring the Circle

For the ancient Greeks, the art of squaring the circle lay in achieving the feat using only a pencil, compass, and ruler. It took 2000 years to prove the unsolvable nature of this task. Still, this paring down to the most minimal of means leads not infrequently to unfathomed creativity. SQUARING THE CIRCLE is therefore not only about impossibilities – it’s also about taking life’s measure with the tools of animation. Is a black circle all that’s necessary to create tension? And how many pencil or brush strokes does it take to describe and sense an entire city?
