The impressionists and Dogma filmmakers aren’t the only ones who failed to follow their own self-imposed rules. We here at INTERFILM have also joined their illustrious ranks, as our rule states that we are not to feature any film longer than 20 minutes. But where does short film actually end? Outside of the competition, gentle rule violations frolic among the “wild thirties” – an endangered paradise, a world full of freaks oscillating between the thrill of breaking free and the fear of losing what they’ve got.
