IC 05 Sex and Confusion

Perhaps no other motif has haunted the history of cinema as much as that of love. Time and again, the medium has told the tale of love at first sight, of the spreading flames, as one star-crossed lover finds their way to another. However, all too often, anything beyond the world of conventional couples and practices gets left by the wayside. And that although relationships and sex are just as enmeshed with power structures as they are with worries, pain, disappointment and jealousy. Plenty of individuals suffer deeply and crack at the mercy of their relationship to the other. Alas, the key to personal fulfilment lies in one’s own self.
